Sand Media is a Pennsylvania LLC formed by Scott Andrew and Ethan Jerrett — a media designer and a software developer who have spent years working at the intersection of technology and live experience.
The studio's practice spans media design for performance, video mapping and installation, reactive video systems, and software and app development. The connective tissue is a belief that technology should serve the human moment — whether that's a dancer on stage, an audience inside an installation, or a player at a tabletop campaign.

Scott Andrew — Media Design & Creative Director
Scott's media design practice spans more than two decades — from early VJ performance to large-scale theatrical production. He specializes in the full integration of dynamic media into live performance: video mapping, live capture, custom animation, and generative content deployed to explore queer futurity, celebrate divas and icons, and realize maximalist spectacles.
His work has been seen on stages including Carnegie Mellon University School of Music, PICT Classic Theatre, and the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, and alongside collaborators across dance, theater, opera, and performance art. His VJ persona Fagnelly has been a fixture of Pittsburgh's nightlife and performance scene since 2006.
Ethan Jerrett — Software Development & Technology
Ethan builds the software layer — custom tools, reactive systems, web applications, and consumer products. His work includes StageSense (a real-time reactive video platform for live performance), Parcane (a session management app for tabletop RPGs), and a range of production workflow tools and client software projects.
He brings a full-stack development practice to the studio: from embedded real-time systems to cloud infrastructure to consumer-facing products. The throughline is software built to solve real problems for real people.
Sand Media, LLC is a Pennsylvania limited liability company formed in 2026. The LLC consolidates Scott's freelance media design practice and Ethan's software development work under a shared entity — enabling cleaner client relationships, shared infrastructure, and the ability to take on projects that require both disciplines.
